In 2002, LSA provided an update to a 1997 study (also performed by LSA). The original study entailed facilities and route recommendations. In addition to a capital program, a concept model was prepared for planning strategies to take advantage of transit services via design, roadway improvements and establishment of "transit corridors" within the community. The update included an analysis of existing facilities, signage, and information systems, as well as a system-wide passenger survey. The results of the study provides a cohesive approach to transit service and facilities over the entire system, bus station and bus shelter prototypes, neighborhood bus stops, ADA compliance, new prototype signage and information systems and lighting standards.
