LSA designed the first major transit and parking facility for the City of Plymouth's transit system. Station 73 functions primarily as a bus transfer station for the local shuttles. The secondary function is to provide park and ride spaces for local commuters. Path connections link the site to the City's extensive park and trail system.
Station 73 occupies a portion of the original "Schiebe's Corner", which has been in use since 1863. Originally Farmer's Home Tavern, it was a stagecoach stop as well as an overnight stop for farmers travelling from western Hennepin County to Minneapolis markets. Once again, it is a transition point for suburban commuters on their way to urban business centers. The City has recognized the Schiebe family with an honorary plaque inside the station.
