LSA renovated a recycling facility into a bus garage and maintenance facility for the Southwest Metro Transit Commission. The facility houses up to 70 buses, 4 maintenance bays and associated office space. Major design considerations included adapting the structure to accommodate the code required changes due to the change in use and making major mechanical and electrical renovations to create an efficient bus storage facility and comfortable environment for the employees. The LSA design team provided full design / construction administration services as well as City planning and zoning approvals.
